6 . PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE WHITE PAPER

  • To provide the Local Plan Sub Committee with a summary of the main changes proposed in the Government’s Planning for the Future White Paper which was published for consultation on 6 August 2020 for 12 weeks.

7 . CHANGES TO THE CURRENT PLANNING SYSTEM – MINISTRY OF HOUSING, COMMUNITIES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MHCLG) CONSULTATION

  • To provide the Local Plan Sub Committee with a summary of the main changes proposed in MHCLG’s (Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government) document ‘Changes to the current planning system’ relating to changes to planning policy and regulations. This is a separate consultation document to the Planning for the Future White Paper which was also published for consultation on 6 August 2000.

9 . EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

  • If the Sub-Committee wishes to consider the remaining item(s) in private, it will be appropriate for a resolution to be passed in the following terms:-“that under Section 100A of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following item(s) of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined under Paragraphs 1 to 7 of Schedule 12A to the Act. It has been decided by the Council that in all the circumstances, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.”
